SC: Safety, productivity and quality were increased
ORLOVÁ – A modern cleaning line which has been in operation in the Service Centre (the Lazy Mine) since October 30, will significantly increase the quality and improve the working conditions in the field of the preparation of the mining machinery for repair.
“Its main asset consists in the fact that the machinery intended for repair is sufficiently cleaned from the layers of rock and corrosion, and thus facilitates the repair itself. Moreover, blast cleaning can uncover dangerous cracks in the machinery and equipment frames, in particular in the self-advancing roof supports,“ said Josef Piekar, Production Deputy Manager of the Service Centre.
In addition to the improved working conditions, safety and hygiene at work, the new line is expected to increase productivity and quality, in particular as regards the repairs of the frames of self-advancing roof supports.

Company code of ethics
The Board of Directors of OKD has adopted a Company code of ethics that is obligatory for all the employees of the firm. It defines basic values and attitudes to enterprise that OKD conforms to in the course of its business activities.
The code of ethics is not any binding rule of law or internal directive, it represents, however, a moral obligation for each employee of OKD.
