Mutuality
Most OKD activities take place in the Moravian-Silesian county which is entirely specific also in terms of demographic and ethnic composition. The present-day peculiarities of this region are the result of a complex historical development of a constantly changing border area in the midst of several state formations.
The Moravian-Silesian county is also a territory in the Czech Republic with probably the most diverse ethnic composition, in particular due to a large number of inhabitants of Slovak and Polish nationality.

Company code of ethics
The Board of Directors of OKD has adopted a Company code of ethics that is obligatory for all the employees of the firm. It defines basic values and attitudes to enterprise that OKD conforms to in the course of its business activities.
The code of ethics is not any binding rule of law or internal directive, it represents, however, a moral obligation for each employee of OKD.
