STONAVA – First of all, proper mining skills and then also, noble-mindedness were demonstrated by the Rostislav Špalek’s mining party from the northern mining plant of ČSM Mine. Using really historical technologies, the mining party has achieved, in Mine Face 300 211, the first standard of the Stonava Mine this year and has decided to share the bonus received for this performance with “Barborka”, (i.e. St. Barbara Civil Association).
“The parameters were set very high. In spite of that, Špalek’s mining party has managed to fulfil and even exceed them,” said Rostislav Huspeka, Head of Mine Field. In the period between January 7, 2010 and February 6, 2010, they excavated 43,497 tons of coal, which represented the fulfilment of planned mining output at 102 per cent! They achieved the Standard in 3A Category – with a net thickness of up to 175 cm.
“We achieved the Standard with an average run of the line slightly above thirty-seven per cent,” specified Špalek, Chief Foreman of the 124-man mining party, equipped with GŠ 68 cutter-loaders and DVP 7 supports. In particular, the said supports rank among the long obsolete mining equipment of the last century.
The Head of Mine Field gave special thanks to Shift Foremen Andrzej Nowakowský, Grzegorz Kiliansky, Miroslav Valany and Jaroslav Bernátek. In solving problems, a hand was also given by Jan Jakubík, Maintenance Foreman, Marian Böhm, Mechanic and Roman Kolatek, Head of Mining Operation in the ČSM Mine.
Immediately after the Standard was evaluated, Špalek, Huspeka and Radek Kašper, Mechanic handed the amount of CZK 10,000 over to the St. Barbara Civil Association. The guys from the whole working party has thus shared the bonus for their extraordinary work performance with the orphans who remained after the death of their friends.
