New World Resources launches Czech version of website
AMSTERDAM (17 August 2009) – New World Resources N.V. (NWR), Central Europe’s leading producer of hard coal, announces the launch of the Czech-language version of its website at www.newworldresources.eu today.
"While NWR has its headquarters in Amsterdam, the company has numerous business activities and thousands of employees in the Czech Republic. It has therefore decided to accommodate requests from our Czech shareholders, our Czech trading partners and the Czech media for current information," said Petra Mašínová, Head of Corporate Communication. A Polish version of the website is in an advanced stage of preparation.
The website is divided into a number of sections covering the company and its production activities, particularly coal mining and the production of coke.
Corporate responsibility is discussed in a separate section, where visitors can find information about safety, with a special focus on working underground, and information about the company's activities regarding the environment, particularly remediation and recultivation projects of mining sites. The section also includes an overview of sponsorship and charitable projects.
"We have focused on making the website easy to navigate, so that everyone can find the information they are looking for," added Mašínová.
The Investor Relations section will remain in English only for the time being.
The new website also has links to the websites of NWR's subsidiaries: OKD, a.s., OKD, OKK, a.s., NWR ENERGY, a.s., and NWR KARBONIA Sp. z o.o.

New World Resources is the sole owner of OKD, a.s., the largest hard coal mining company in the Czech Republic and one of the largest producers in Central Europe with respect to revenue and the volume of production. In 2008 the company provided customers in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Poland, Hungary and Germany approximately 12.7 million tons of coal, 7.4 million tons of which was coking coal for customers in the steel production industry.

Company code of ethics
The Board of Directors of OKD has adopted a Company code of ethics that is obligatory for all the employees of the firm. It defines basic values and attitudes to enterprise that OKD conforms to in the course of its business activities.
The code of ethics is not any binding rule of law or internal directive, it represents, however, a moral obligation for each employee of OKD.
